Introduction:
1. The supplied high-altitude test clamp is a special fixture for temporary wiring when testing or repairing electrical equipment. For years, testing or repairing electrical equipment that cannot be directly contacted required operators to climb high for wiring, which was labor-intensive and unsafe. To solve this technical challenge, our company's engineering technicians, with the strong support and assistance of field workers in the power system, successfully developed the TD-1168 high-altitude wiring clamp suitable for field use through research, exploration, and repeated experiments.
2. The high-altitude wiring clamp is mainly used for substation maintenance in the power system, conducting high-altitude electrical tests on electrical equipment such as contact resistance, loop resistance, and relay protection CT tests, especially suitable for testing and wiring high-altitude equipment from the ground. It can be used to test at any clampable position and adapt to wiring needs at different angles.
Precautions:
(1) Test current, when testing larger currents: connect the upper and lower jaws of the high-altitude clamp with a short wire so that both jaws contact simultaneously, increasing the current capacity. When testing smaller currents: at the wiring terminals of the upper and lower jaws of the high-altitude clamp, connect the current wire to the upper jaw and the voltage wire to the lower jaw, allowing a single test to measure both current and voltage.
(2) When in use, always maintain a safe distance from live equipment.
(3) If the jaws clamp onto a screw, have insufficient clamping force, or the connecting wires have poor contact, the test results may be affected.
(4) Do not push the lower jaw of the wiring clamp upward directly with your hands to avoid bending or squeezing the internal steel wire rope.
(5) Apply lubricating oil to sliding parts and avoid dust ingress.
(6) After use, store in a clean, dry place.

Instructions:
1 Adjust the clamp head to roughly the same angle as the wiring position (if the wiring position is vertical to the ground, replace it with the spare guide hook).
2 Install the voltage and current wires onto the wiring terminals of the clamp jaws, mount the clamp onto the dedicated operating rod of the required length, and secure the wires in sections (leave a 20cm wire allowance near the clamp) onto the operating rod.
3 Use the dedicated operating rod to lift the high-altitude test clamp so that the clamp head is slightly above the wiring position, gently rest it against the wiring position, and slide it down slowly using the guide hook on the clamp until the jaws engage the wiring position. Pull the operating rod in the direction of the lower jaw (avoid excessive force), and the jaws will clamp and lock automatically.
4 To remove the clamp, simply push the operating rod toward the upper jaw of the clamp, and the jaws will release.
