Multifunctional High-altitude Test Clamp
Introduction:
1. The high-altitude test clamp is a special fixture used for temporary wiring when testing or repairing electrical equipment. For years, testing or repairing electrical equipment that cannot be directly contacted required operators to climb to high places for wiring, which was labor-intensive and unsafe. To solve this technical problem, our company's engineering and technical personnel, with the strong support and assistance of field workers in the power system, successfully developed the special TD-1168 high-altitude wiring clamp suitable for field use through research, exploration, and repeated experiments.
2. The high-altitude wiring clamp is mainly used for substation maintenance in the power system, for high-altitude electrical testing of electrical equipment such as contact resistance, loop resistance, relay protection CT tests, etc. It is especially suitable for testing and wiring high-altitude equipment from the ground. It can select any clampable position for testing and can adapt to wiring needs at different angles.
Precautions:
(1) Test current: When testing larger currents, use a short wire to connect the upper and lower jaws of the high-altitude clamp so that both jaws contact simultaneously, increasing the current capacity. When testing smaller currents, at the wiring terminals of the upper and lower jaws, connect the current wire to the upper jaw and the voltage wire to the lower jaw, allowing for a one-time test of both current and voltage.
(2) During use, ensure a safe distance is maintained from live equipment.
(3) If the jaws are clamped on screws, the clamping force is weak, or the connecting wires have poor contact, the test results may be affected.
(4) Do not directly push the lower jaw of the wiring clamp upward with your hand to avoid bending or squeezing the internal steel wire rope.
(5) Apply lubricating oil to sliding parts and prevent dust from entering.
(6) After use, store in a clean, dry place.

Instructions:
1 Adjust the clamp head to roughly the same angle as the wiring position (if the wiring position is vertical to the ground, replace with the spare guide hook).
2 Install the voltage and current wires on the wiring terminals of the clamp jaws, mount the clamp on the special operating rod of the required length, and then secure the wires in sections (leave a 20cm wire allowance near the clamp) onto the special operating rod.
3 Use the special operating rod to lift the high-altitude test clamp, and when the clamp head is slightly higher than the wiring position, gently rest it against the wiring position. Rely on the guide hook on the clamp to slide down slowly along the wiring position so that the jaws clamp onto the wiring position. Pull the operating rod in the direction of the lower jaw of the clamp (do not use excessive force), and the jaws will be tightened and automatically locked.
4 To remove the clamp, simply push the special operating rod toward the upper jaw of the clamp, and the jaws will release.
