Precautions for Using Transformer Capacity Tester
1. During the measurement process, do not touch the metal parts of the test leads to avoid electric shock.
2. The measurement wiring must strictly follow the instruction manual, otherwise you will bear the consequences.
3. Before testing, carefully check whether the set parameters are correct.
4. It is best to use a power outlet with a ground wire.
5. Do not work under conditions exceeding the voltage and current limits.
6. During short-circuit tests, the shorting on the non-energized side must be good, otherwise it will affect the test results.
7. When performing short-circuit tests, if the high-voltage or medium-voltage side bushing is equipped with a ring-type current transformer, the secondary side of the current transformer must be short-circuited before the test.
8. The test wiring must be carried out with the tested line grounded to prevent electric shock from induced voltage. All short-circuit, grounding, and lead wires should have sufficient cross-section and must be securely connected. The test organization should be rigorous, and communication should be smooth to ensure the safe and smooth progress of the test work.
