The present invention relates to the technical field of insulator salt density and ash density tests, and more specifically, to a method for sampling contaminants from insulators in salt density and ash density tests.
Background:
The pollution level of transmission lines is mainly determined by two parameters: equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD) and non-soluble deposit density (NSDD) of insulators. The measurement accuracy of ESDD and NSDD is of great guiding significance for the correct division of pollution areas, the configuration of line insulation, the design of lines, and the operation and management of lines.
In current practical work, after selecting the number of insulator pieces to be tested and the specific measurement positions based on past operational experience, the insulators to be tested are disassembled for equivalent salt density and ash density tests. However, during the entire sampling process, factors such as different standards required by various units, different on-site sampling methods, and non-standard human operations during the contaminant extraction process can easily lead to the consumption and loss of contaminants on the insulators to be tested. Therefore, in the salt density and ash density testing process, the extraction of surface contaminants from the insulators to be tested is most critical, and how to ensure the storage of contaminants during the disassembly and transportation of the insulators to be tested is particularly important.
Technical Implementation Elements:
To solve the problems in the background, the present invention proposes a method for sampling contaminants from insulators for salt density and ash density, which can fully retain the contaminants adhering to the protective cover, avoiding the consumption of contaminants on the insulator to be tested due to factors such as non-standard human operations during on-site contaminant extraction; the present invention ensures the effectiveness of sampling for salt density and ash density tests.
To achieve the above purpose, the present invention provides a method for sampling contaminants from insulators for salt density and ash density, using a sampling protective cover that includes: a rectangular waterproof cloth, with a length of 1000mm and a width of 300mm.
A first adhesive tape with a width of 50mm is provided at the inner right edge of the waterproof cloth, and a second adhesive tape with a width of 50mm that cooperates with the first adhesive tape is provided at the outer left edge of the waterproof cloth.
Two third adhesive tapes are provided at the outer upper and lower edges of the waterproof cloth, and the left and right ends of the two third adhesive tapes are aligned with the left and right ends of the waterproof cloth; the width of the third adhesive tapes is 50mm.
Two fourth adhesive tapes that cooperate with the third adhesive tapes are connected to the right side of the upper and lower ends of the waterproof cloth, and the width of the two fourth adhesive tapes is 50mm.
The first adhesive tape and the fourth adhesive tape are nylon hook tapes, and the second adhesive tape and the third adhesive tape are nylon loop tapes.
The waterproof cloth includes an inner and an outer layer structure; the inner layer of the waterproof cloth is a waterproof layer, and the outer layer is a fabric layer.
The waterproof layer is a PTFE film; the fabric layer is non-woven fabric; the fabric layer and the waterproof layer are bonded together with adhesive.
The method for sampling contaminants from insulators for salt density and ash density includes the following steps:
S1. Cover the sampling protective cover over the insulator to be tested, ensuring that the waterproof layer inside the sampling protective cover fits the insulator to be tested; then first stick the first adhesive tape and the second adhesive tape together, and then stick the third adhesive tape and the fourth adhesive tape together;

S2. Disassemble the insulator to be tested covered with the sampling protective cover and transport it to the laboratory;
S3. Open the stuck third adhesive tape and fourth adhesive tape, as well as the first adhesive tape and second adhesive tape, and wash the contaminants on the insulator to be tested and the waterproof layer of the sampling protective cover with distilled water into a test vessel.
In the above method for sampling contaminants from insulators for salt density and ash density, in a preferred mode, in step S3, the waterproof layer inside the sampling protective cover is rinsed with distilled water in a unidirectional rinsing manner.
The waterproof cloth used in the present invention is composed of a polymer waterproof material (PTFE film) compounded with fabric. When washing contaminants with distilled water, due to the waterproof nature of the material, the distilled water mixed with contaminants will directly flow into the test container, fully retaining the contaminants adhering to the protective cover, ensuring the effectiveness of sampling for salt density and ash density tests. The beneficial effect of the present invention also lies in the design of the sampling protective cover, which has the characteristics of simple structure and convenient use.

Detailed Implementation
As shown in Figure 1, a sampling protective cover for contaminants from insulators for salt density and ash density includes a rectangular waterproof cloth 10, with a length of 1000mm and a width of 300mm.
A first adhesive tape 1 with a width of 50mm is provided at the inner right edge of the waterproof cloth 10, and a second adhesive tape 2 with a width of 50mm that cooperates with the first adhesive tape 1 is provided at the outer left edge of the waterproof cloth 10.
Two third adhesive tapes 3 are provided at the outer upper and lower edges of the waterproof cloth 10, and the left and right ends of the two third adhesive tapes 3 are aligned with the left and right ends of the waterproof cloth 10; the width of the third adhesive tapes 3 is 50mm.
Two fourth adhesive tapes 4 that cooperate with the third adhesive tapes 3 are connected to the right side of the upper and lower ends of the waterproof cloth 10, and the width of the two fourth adhesive tapes 4 is 50mm.
The first adhesive tape 1 and the fourth adhesive tape 4 are nylon hook tapes, and the second adhesive tape 2 and the third adhesive tape 3 are nylon loop tapes.
As shown in Figure 2, the waterproof cloth 10 includes an inner and an outer layer structure; the inner layer of the waterproof cloth 10 is a waterproof layer 11, and the outer layer is a fabric layer 12. The waterproof layer 11 is a PTFE film; the fabric layer 12 is non-woven fabric. The fabric layer 12 and the waterproof layer 11 are bonded together with adhesive.
As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the method for sampling contaminants from insulators for salt density and ash density of the present invention, using the above sampling protective cover, includes the following steps:
S1. Cover the sampling protective cover over the insulator to be tested 13, ensuring that the waterproof layer 11 inside the sampling protective cover fits the insulator to be tested 13; then first stick the first adhesive tape 1 and the second adhesive tape 2 together, and then stick the third adhesive tape 3 and the fourth adhesive tape 4 together;
S2. Disassemble the insulator to be tested 13 covered with the sampling protective cover and transport it to the laboratory;
S3. Open the stuck third adhesive tape 3 and fourth adhesive tape 4, as well as the first adhesive tape 1 and second adhesive tape 2, wash the contaminants on the insulator to be tested 13 with distilled water, and wash the contaminants on the insulator to be tested 13 and the waterproof layer 11 of the sampling protective cover into a test vessel with distilled water.
In step S3, the waterproof layer 11 inside the sampling protective cover is rinsed with distilled water in a unidirectional rinsing manner.
The sampling protective cover used in the present invention is composed of a polymer waterproof material (PTFE film) compounded with fabric. When washing contaminants with distilled water, due to the waterproof nature of the material, the distilled water mixed with contaminants will directly flow into the test container, fully retaining the contaminants adhering to the protective cover, ensuring the effectiveness of sampling for salt density and ash density tests.
