With the continuous maturation of CVT (capacitive voltage transformer) technology, CVT has been widely promoted. Using traditional methods to calibrate CVT, due to the relatively large main capacitance of CVT, typically 0.005~0.02uF, the requirements for test power supply capacity are very high, usually tens to hundreds of kilovolt-amperes or even hundreds of kilovolt-amperes. It is often difficult to find a power supply of such large capacity on site, and the weight of such a large-capacity power supply is several hundred kilograms or even several tons, making it difficult to move and conduct on-site tests. Therefore, based on the principle of series resonance, a new generation of power frequency series resonance voltage boosting device specially for CVT calibration has been developed using stepless manual inductance adjustment technology, which reduces the volume and weight of the required power supply and test equipment by dozens of times, conveniently meeting the voltage boosting requirements for calibration of various types of CVTs at voltage levels of 35kV, 66kV, 110kV, 220kV, 330kV, and 500kV. The variable frequency series resonance device adopts a multi-section reactor in series, featuring small size, light weight, and simple wiring and operation, making it an ideal new-generation replacement product for professionals in electric power measurement and high-voltage testing.
According to user requirements, reactors are available in two types: fixed reactors and adjustable reactors.
