Overview of TD-1168 Multifunctional High-altitude Wire Clamp

TD-1168 Multifunctional High-altitude Wire Clamp is a special fixture for temporary wiring when testing or repairing electrical equipment. For many years, when testing or repairing electrical equipment that cannot be directly contacted, operators had to climb up to connect wires, which was labor-intensive and unsafe. The multifunctional high-altitude wire clamp solves this problem by transferring traditional high-altitude work to the ground, fundamentally eliminating the danger of climbing and greatly improving the working conditions of field operators.

Main features of TD-1168 Multifunctional High-altitude Wire Clamp:

1. Simple operation. Use the special operating rod to hang the upper jaw of the wire clamp onto the position where wiring is needed. By pushing and pulling the special operating rod, the jaws can be freely opened and closed to complete the wiring work. The jaw opening is large (70mm) and equipped with a guiding mechanism, making it very convenient to hang and clamp.

2. Strong clamping force. The upper and lower jaws of the wire clamp utilize the principle of movable pulleys to save effort, so a smaller pulling force can produce a larger clamping force.

3. The wire clamp is internally equipped with a clamping force locking and releasing device. When pulling the special operating rod, the internal spring energy storage device can automatically lock the jaws at any required force. If the special operating rod is not pushed, the self-locking device will never open by itself, ensuring reliable performance. When pushing the special operating rod, the internal release device can open the clamped jaws, making operation very convenient.

4. Good contact. The wire clamp has the function of overcoming oxide films while clamping, ensuring good contact between the jaws and the wiring position.

5. Large short-time current carrying capacity and strong overload capability.

6. Strong practicality. The angle of the clamp head can be adjusted, allowing it to complete wiring work for testing or repair grounding at different angles, thicknesses, diameters, and heights below 8 meters.

7. Light weight and easy to use. The structure is reasonably designed, with excellent quality and durability; the clamp head weighs less than 700 grams.

Usage of TD-1168 Multifunctional High-altitude Wire Clamp:

1. Install the wire clamp onto the special operating rod of the required length, connect the voltage and current wires to the wiring terminals on the clamp jaws, then fix the wires in sections (the section near the clamp must reserve a 20cm allowance) onto the special operating rod.

2. Adjust the clamp head to an angle roughly matching the wiring position (if the wiring position is vertical to the ground, replace with the spare guiding hook).

3. Use the special operating rod to lift the wire clamp so that the clamp head is slightly higher than the wiring position, gently lean it against the wiring position, and slowly slide it downward along the guiding mechanism until the jaws clamp onto the wiring position. Then slowly apply force (avoid excessive force) to pull the special operating rod, and the jaws will tighten.

4. To remove the wire clamp, simply push the special operating rod firmly toward the wire clamp, and the jaws will open.

Precautions for using TD-1168 Multifunctional High-altitude Wire Clamp:

1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use.

2. During use, maintain a safe distance from live equipment! When using the wire clamp, wires are connected; when lifting or lowering, keep a safe distance from surrounding live equipment, and pay special attention to safety!

3. If the jaws clamp onto a screw, the clamping force is insufficient, or the connecting wires have poor contact, the test results may be affected.

4. After use, be careful to handle it gently when removing.

5. Do not artificially push up the lower jaw of the wire clamp, bend, or squeeze the internal steel wire rope.

6. Lubricate the sliding parts with lubricating oil and avoid dust ingress.

7. Store in a clean, dry place after use.
