Tubular Electric Heater

A tubular electric heater is made by placing a metal resistance wire inside a metal tube and tightly filling the gaps with crystalline magnesium oxide, which has good thermal conductivity and insulation properties. It can be immersed in water or other liquids, or directly placed in solid metal to heat the metal.
