The following is the manual and operating instructions for the GH-6303 insulation resistance tester:
1. Measurement Steps
Turn on the power switch "ON/OFF", select the desired voltage level. The default voltage on startup is 500V. Select the desired voltage level, and the corresponding indicator light will illuminate. Lightly press the high voltage "Start/Stop" key, the high voltage indicator light will illuminate, and the stable value displayed on the LCD multiplied by 10 is the measured insulation resistance value. When the insulation resistance of the test object exceeds the upper limit of the meter's range, the first digit of the display shows "1", and the last three digits go blank. To turn off the high voltage, simply press the high voltage "Start/Stop" key again. To turn off the entire device, press the power "ON/OFF" key.
Note: During measurement, due to the absorption and polarization process of the test object, the insulation resistance reading may gradually drift towards larger values or fluctuate up and down, which is normal.
2. Meaning of Terminal Symbols
When measuring insulation resistance, connect the line "L" terminal to the conductive part of the test object that is insulated from earth, connect the ground "E" terminal to the casing or grounded part of the test object, and connect the guard "G" terminal to the protective shield part of the test object or other parts not involved in the measurement, to eliminate errors caused by surface leakage. When measuring the insulation resistance between components of electrical products, the "L" and "E" terminals can be connected to any set of wires. For example, when measuring the phase-to-phase insulation of a generator, the three groups can be rotated, and the unmeasured phase should be safely grounded.
V. Precautions
1. When storing this meter, pay attention to ambient temperature and humidity. It is advisable to store it in a dry and ventilated place, and protect it from dust, moisture, shock, acids, alkalis, and corrosive gases.
2. If the test object is a normally live part, disconnect the power supply before measuring; otherwise, it may endanger personal safety and equipment! When high voltage is activated between the E and L terminals of this meter, there is a high DC voltage. Do not touch any part of the human body during measurement.
3. This meter is dual-powered (AC/DC). When not connected to AC power, it operates on battery. When connected to AC power, it prioritizes AC power.
4. When the arrow "←" appears in the upper left corner of the display, it indicates low battery voltage, and the battery should be replaced. If the meter is not used for a long time, remove all batteries to prevent corrosion.
