Functional Features of Insulating Boots and Gloves Withstand Voltage Tester


 


1  The instrument can test 8 insulating boots or insulating gloves simultaneously and measure the leakage current of each test sample.


 


2  The insulating boots test adopts a dry test method with small steel balls placed inside, getting rid of the traditional practice of filling the boots with water for testing, which is not easy to dry after the test.


 


3  The measurement voltage and current adopt real-time comparison between high and low voltage to ensure the accuracy of the measured voltage and current values.


 


4  High and low voltage are separated, and the leakage current is transmitted back to the control box using anti-interference wireless transmission technology, greatly ensuring personal safety.


 


5  Each test sample has a disconnecting mechanism. When any one breaks down or exceeds the set leakage current value, that test sample will automatically disconnect from the test without affecting other test samples.


 


6  The instrument uses a large-screen LCD with Chinese character display, providing a large amount of information. One screen simultaneously displays test voltage, 8-channel high-voltage leakage current, calendar, timing parameters, and Chinese prompt content.


 


7  The motor controls the voltage regulator to boost the voltage, and the withstand voltage test is fully automatic. After the test starts, the instrument automatically closes the switch and boosts the voltage at the speed required by national standards. When the preset voltage is reached, timing starts, and the test voltage is maintained. When the timing ends, the voltage is automatically reduced, and the power is automatically cut off after reaching zero, indicating the end of the test. At the same time, the leakage current of each test sample is displayed, and the test results are automatically saved.


 


8  The insulating boots test has a dedicated metal grounding tray, and the insulating gloves test has a dedicated container for easy operation. 


 


9  The transformation ratio of the test transformer can be freely set, allowing compatibility with the customer's existing transformer.


 


10  It has overcurrent protection function.




Test Steps:

1. Fill the water tank with two-thirds of water and fix it.


 


2. Place the insulating boots and insulating gloves filled with water into the water tank. The insulating gloves are clamped with the insulating clip on the probe, and the upper openings of the insulating boots and gloves must be kept dry.


 


3. Adjust the tightening screw on the high-voltage tube, insert the probe into the water inside the insulating boots and gloves, and tighten the screw to fix the probe.


 


4. Ground the water tank box's grounding post, connect the water tank box's socket to the control box's output socket, and turn each milliammeter switch on the water tank box to the "Off" position.


 


5. Connect the control box's power socket to a 220V power supply and ground the grounding terminal.


 


6. Set the test time and overcurrent protection value.


 


7. Before turning on the power, return the voltage regulator to zero, close the knife switch, and the disconnect button light will be on. If an alarm is needed, press the alarm switch, and the alarm will sound and flash. Press the start button, the start button light will be on, and the alarm stops, indicating that the power is on and waiting for voltage boosting.


 


8. Rotate the voltage regulator handle clockwise at a constant speed to boost the voltage, and closely monitor the control box's instruments and the water tank box's milliammeters.


 


9. If there is an abnormality in the milliammeter of the water tank box, turn the milliammeter switch corresponding to the abnormal milliammeter to the "On" position to protect the milliammeter from overcurrent damage.


 


10. When the required voltage is reached, turn on the time relay switch, and the time relay starts timing.


 


11. When the time relay reaches the set time, the alarm sounds again to remind that the withstand voltage time is up.


 


12. Rotate the voltage regulator handle counterclockwise to reduce the voltage, then turn off the time relay switch and press the disconnect button, pull down the knife switch, and the test ends.


 


13. Unless the test allows, never suddenly cut off the power.


 


14. If the test sample is short-circuited or fails during the test, the overcurrent setting device will act to cut off the high-voltage output.
