Working Principle of High-Altitude Wire Clamp
Recommended by DARUI Electric
Main Features:
1. Simple operation. Use the special operating rod to hang the upper jaw of the wire clamp onto the position to be connected. By pushing and pulling the operating rod, the jaws can freely open and close to complete the connection. The jaw opening is large (70mm) and equipped with a guiding mechanism, making it very convenient to hang and clamp.
2. Strong clamping force. The upper and lower jaws utilize the principle of a movable pulley to save effort, thus a small pulling force can generate a large clamping force.
3. The clamp is internally equipped with a clamping force locking and release device. When pulling the operating rod, the internal spring energy storage device can automatically lock the jaws at any desired force. If the operating rod is not pushed, the self-locking device will never open by itself, ensuring reliable performance. When pushing the operating rod, the release device opens the clamped jaws, making operation very convenient.
4. Good contact. The clamp has the function of overcoming oxide films while clamping, ensuring good contact between the jaws and the connection point.
5. Large short-time current capacity and strong overload capability. 6. High practicality. The clamp head angle can be adjusted to complete grounding connections for testing or maintenance at different angles, thicknesses, diameters, and heights below 8 meters.
7. Lightweight and easy to use. The design is reasonable, the quality is excellent, and it is durable. The clamp head weighs less than 700 grams.
Usage Instructions:
1. Install the wire clamp onto the operating rod of the required length. Connect the voltage and current wires to the terminals on the clamp jaws. Then, secure the wires in sections (leaving a 20cm allowance on the section near the clamp) onto the operating rod.
2. Adjust the clamp head to roughly the same angle as the connection position (if the connection position is perpendicular to the ground, replace with the spare guiding hook).
3. Lift the clamp with the operating rod so that the head is slightly above the connection position, gently rest it against the connection, and let the guiding mechanism slide down slowly until the jaws clamp onto the position. Then, slowly apply force (avoid sudden force) to pull the operating rod, and the jaws will tighten.
4. To remove the clamp, simply push the operating rod firmly towards the clamp, and the jaws will open.
