TD1168 High-altitude Test Clamp
Overview:
A special fixture used for temporary wiring when testing or repairing electrical equipment. For years, when testing or repairing electrical equipment that cannot be directly contacted, operators had to climb to high places to make connections, which was labor-intensive and unsafe. To solve this technical challenge, our company's engineering and technical personnel, with the strong support and assistance of on-site workers in the power system, conducted research, exploration, and repeated experiments.
TD1168 High-altitude Test Clamp
Precautions:
1. Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.
2. When testing current, for larger currents: connect the upper and lower jaws of the high-altitude clamp with a short wire so that both jaws contact simultaneously, increasing the current capacity. For smaller currents: at the wiring points of the upper and lower jaws, connect the current wire to the upper jaw and the voltage wire to the lower jaw, allowing both current and voltage tests to be completed in one test.
3. When using, always maintain a safe distance from live equipment.
4. If the jaws are clamped on a screw, the clamping force is insufficient, or the connecting wires have poor contact, the test results may be affected.
5. Do not directly push the lower jaw of the clamp upward with your hand to avoid bending or squeezing the internal steel wire rope.
6. Pay attention to adding lubricating oil to sliding parts and avoid dust ingress.
7. After use, store in a clean, dry place.
Main Features:
(1) Simple operation: Use the special operating rod to hook the jaws of the clamp onto the wiring position. By pushing and pulling the operating rod, the jaws can be freely opened and closed to complete the wiring work. The jaw opening is large (70mm) and equipped with a hooking guide mechanism for convenient operation.
(2) Strong clamping force: The upper and lower jaws utilize the principle of a movable pulley to save effort, thus a smaller pulling force can achieve a greater clamping force.
(3) The clamp is equipped with a special device for locking and releasing the clamping force. When pulling the operating rod, the internal spring energy storage device can automatically lock the jaws at any desired clamping force. When pushing the operating rod, the release device opens the clamped jaws. Unless the operating rod is manually pushed, the self-locking device inside the clamp will never allow the clamped jaws to open on their own, ensuring safety and reliability.
(4) Good contact: The clamp has the function of overcoming oxide films while clamping, ensuring good contact between the jaws and the wiring position.
(5) Strong overload capacity: Short-time current exceeds 100A.
(6) High practicality: The jaw angle of the clamp can be adjusted, allowing wiring work at different angles, thicknesses, diameters, and heights up to 8.5 meters for testing or repair grounding.
(7) Lightweight and easy to use: The structure is well-designed, with fine quality and durability. The clamp head weighs less than 700 grams.
