The product consists of an operation console and a current generator. It features stepless adjustment of output current, smooth current rise, wide load variation range, reliable operation, and simple operation. It can also serve as a current source device for current rise or temperature rise tests in industrial and mining enterprises. Equipped with a transformer, it allows convenient reading of test current values.
1. Testing work must involve at least two people: one operator and one supervisor to ensure safety.
2. The casing must be grounded. Do not neglect personal safety due to low voltage. The instrument must have good grounding. During use, the current transformer and operation console must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.
3. The wires from the secondary side of the current generator to the test object should not be too long, and the cross-section should be sufficient (current density can be considered at 6-8A/mm). The contact surfaces should be cleaned (can be polished with fine sandpaper), otherwise the joints may overheat, and the current may not reach the rated value.
4. Before work, check the capacity of the power supply; otherwise, the power cord may overheat and voltage drop may affect normal operation.
5. There should be no flammable materials at the work site. For temperature rise tests, prepare adequate fire extinguishing equipment.
6. For continuous (temperature rise) tests, someone should be on duty at the site. Regularly check the heating condition of the current source equipment, wires, and joints, and make records. Due to voltage fluctuations, pay attention to adjusting the TD to maintain the rated test current. During the test, once any abnormal phenomenon is found, immediately cut off the air switch power, find out the cause, and then proceed with the test. After the test, be sure to return the voltage regulator to zero, cut off the air switch power, cut off the working power, and then remove the test wiring to ensure safety.
7. Testing work should comply with the relevant regulations of the electric power industry safety work procedures and formulate practical safety measures. The instrument is designed for short-time work, so it is not allowed to operate at rated capacity for a long time, and it is strictly prohibited to operate above the rated current to prevent overheating.
