Overview


 The DC high current generator is a specialized device designed and manufactured according to the requirements of power departments and factories for electrical equipment testing, current transformer and other electrical equipment current load tests, temperature rise tests, and detection of the maximum breaking current and breaking capacity of switches.


This series of products is a new type of high current test device, featuring light weight, easy maintenance and operation. The current and voltage displays use digital display methods, and the internal has overvoltage, overcurrent, and leakage protection devices. The total weight is only about 3/4 to 1/2 of traditional current generators, and the footprint is only about 1/2 of the original. It is very convenient for laboratory and field testing. It is an ideal device for current rise or temperature rise tests in industrial and mining enterprises.

Operating Environment


1. Working power supply: 220V ±10% 50HZ 


    2. Ambient temperature: -10°C to 40°C 


    3. The product should be placed in an environment free of gases, vapors, chemical dust, dirt, or other explosive media that could seriously affect transformer insulation.


 


Working Principle


After connecting the working power supply, this series of products adjusts the output voltage of the silicon controlled rectifier potentiometer to obtain the required high current for testing. The working principle diagram is as follows:


Precautions


1. Connect the working circuit according to the electrical schematic diagram. The transformer casing and control console must be properly grounded. 


    2. Connect the power supply, and the green indicator light on the control console will light up. Press the start button, and the red indicator light will light up, at which point the current generator is ready to generate current. 


    3. Rotate the potentiometer on the panel clockwise evenly, and observe the output current indication on the control console until the required high current is reached. To ensure testing accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series at the instrument terminals. 


    4. During the test, if any abnormal situation is found, immediately cut off the power supply, investigate the cause, and then proceed with the test. 


    5. After the test, the potentiometer must be adjusted back to zero, press the stop button to cut off the power supply, and then disconnect the working power before removing the test wiring to ensure safety.
