YTC6230Transmission Line Fault Distance Testeris suitable for overhead transmission lines of 35kV and above voltage levels. When a permanent single-phase grounding or line break fault occurs, the fault distance can be accurately measured by testing the faulty line in the substation, determining the faulty tower, facilitating quick fault location by repair personnel, and shortening repair time.

Error Correction
YTC6230Transmission Line Fault Distance TesterThe wave speed of overhead lines in the program is fixed. For overhead lines with different parameters, there will be a certain deviation between the wave number and the given wave speed. Therefore, for overhead lines with different parameters, the measured distance also has a certain deviation; however, this deviation can be corrected by the following two methods.
1. According to the parameter test of specific line segments, modify the wave speed parameter of the overhead line in the program to ensure measurement accuracy. This method is suitable for users whose line parameters of the same voltage level are basically consistent. This work is carried out by the overhead line manufacturer in cooperation with the user.
2. When the user uses the HTXL-H instrument to measure a line of known length L0, measure the non-fault phase length L1 and the fault phase length L2 respectively, and the fault distance can be obtained by the following formula: Lx=L0×L2/L1
