Operation Steps and Precautions for Insulating Boots and Gloves Withstand Voltage Test Device

The insulating boots and gloves withstand voltage test device is independently developed and produced based on the test regulations for insulating boots and gloves, and in accordance with the opinions of the majority of users. This product adopts fully automatic voltage increase (decrease), automatically reads the leakage current of each test object, and the entire process is fully automated, automatically printing test data, effectively solving the previous irregular test methods, thereby simplifying test procedures and improving test speed.

Operation steps of the insulating boots and gloves withstand voltage test device:

1. Before use, install the insulating support on the mobile bracket, then insert both ends of the electrode rod support into the insulating support rod, and then install the electrode rods into the electrode support in sequence.

2. The water filled in the insulating boots (gloves) should not be higher than 5cm below the mouth of the insulating boots (gloves), and ensure that the part of the insulating boots (gloves) exposed above the water surface is dry and clean. Then place the high-voltage electrode inside the insulating boots (gloves) and clamp the insulating boots (gloves) properly.

3. Connect one end of the water resistor to the high-voltage input nut on the insulating boots (gloves) test cart, and the other end is connected to the high-voltage output terminal of the test transformer inside the insulating boots (gloves) test bench via a 35KV high-voltage cable from the high-voltage outlet of the insulating boots (gloves) test bench. Connect the leakage measurement terminals on the water tank 1-6 to the terminals X1-X6 on the insulating boots (gloves) test bench in one-to-one correspondence.

4. Check whether the main power supply is consistent with the input power supply (220V 50HZ), set the action value of the current relay, and also set the action value of the time relay. Close the air switch, the power indicator light is on, and when the handwheel of the voltage regulator is at zero position, the zero position indicator light is on. At this time, power can be supplied for operation.

5. Press the reset button to turn off the fault indicator light. Press the power supply button, the main contactor works, the voltage regulator receives power, the power indicator light goes off, the power supply indicator light is on, and an audible and visual alarm is activated.

6. Rotate the handwheel of the voltage regulator clockwise, the audible and visual alarm stops, pay attention to the indications of the voltmeter and milliammeter, increase the voltage at a rate of less than 3KV per second. When the required voltage value is reached, press the timing button and closely observe the condition of the test object.

7. During the test process, if the leakage current is greater than the specified value or the test object is broken down, the current relay operates, the voltage regulator automatically cuts off power, and the indicator light corresponding to the insulating boots (gloves) with excessive leakage current or breakdown lights up. Cut off the power, remove the insulating boots (gloves) with excessive leakage current or breakdown, then perform the voltage increase operation again. When the specified voltage and withstand voltage time are reached and the leakage current is not greater than the specified value, an audible and visual alarm indicates that the product is qualified; otherwise, the test object is unqualified.

8. After the entire test process is completed, cut off the power, disassemble the insulating (gloves), replace with the second batch, and repeat the above method for testing.

Precautions for the insulating boots and gloves withstand voltage test device:

1. During the test process of the insulating boots and gloves withstand voltage test device, the operator should operate at a safe distance (less than 20KV per meter in air), and the power frequency withstand voltage test bench must be reliably grounded with a grounding resistance of less than 0.1Ω.

2. Before use, the insulation resistance should be tested, and its insulation resistance value should be greater than 2MΩ.

3. Before use, check whether the contacts of each electrical component are loose, whether the contact is good, and whether each protection system can work normally.

4. Before use, wipe the insulating support rod, electrodes, electrode rods, water tank and other parts with alcohol.

5. After the test, drain the water and wipe all parts dry with cotton cloth. If not used for a long time, store the water tank, electrode rods, and insulating support rod in a dry and ventilated place.

6. The working and storage places should be free of gases, vapors, chemical dust and other explosive and corrosive media that seriously affect insulation.

7. It must be operated by professional personnel and strictly follow the operating procedures.
