MI Heating Cable
Full name is Mineral Insulated Heating Cable, a high-performance electric heating product. This cable is designed based on mineral insulation technology and mainly consists of three parts: core wire, insulation layer, and metal sheath.
Core Wire: The core wire is the heating element of the cable, usually made of high-resistance materials such as nickel-chromium alloy or copper-nickel alloy, which can effectively convert electrical energy into heat.
Insulation Layer: Wrapped around the core wire is a high-temperature resistant, excellent insulating mineral oxide insulation material, most commonly magnesium oxide (MgO). This insulation layer not only provides excellent electrical insulation performance but also has good thermal conductivity, helping to distribute heat evenly.
Metal Sheath: The outermost layer is a metal sheath, usually made of stainless steel or copper. It provides mechanical protection for the cable and can serve as a grounding conductor, enhancing safety. The metal sheath also gives the cable good corrosion resistance and pressure resistance, making it suitable for use in various harsh environments.
Features of MI Heating Cable include:
MI Heating Cables are widely used in industrial fields, such as thermal insulation and freeze protection of oil pipelines, tank heating, temperature maintenance of instrument lines, and floor heating in the construction field. Its efficient, safe, and durable characteristics make it the first choice for many applications requiring precise temperature control and reliable heating solutions.
