The high-current generator is a device used for load and current-rise tests on electrical equipment to determine whether these devices meet factory requirements. It has been widely applied in many fields, such as laboratories and power plants, and is an indispensable instrument for enterprises and institutions. Today, we will specifically introduce the structure and usage methods of the high-current generator.
1. The high-current generator is usually composed of an operation panel and an instrument indicator panel. The operation panel consists of a working system, a green start button, and a red stop button. The instrument indicator panel consists of a selector switch and two ammeters, both with large and small ranges. Among them, the red indicator light is the working signal, and the green indicator light is the power signal.
2. The input method adopted by the high-current generator is the primary terminal method. Below it are the secondary output high-current terminals of the current booster, with two wiring methods: the non-opening door wiring type and the opening door wiring type. After the high-current generator is connected to the working power supply, the required high current can be obtained by adjusting the output voltage of the voltage regulator.
3. The usage method of the high-current generator is as follows: when conducting high-current tests, connect the working circuit according to the requirements in the manual, then select the appropriate position of the range switch according to the output current size. Return the voltage regulator to zero, and press the start test button.
4. Hold the handle of the voltage regulator and slowly rotate it clockwise, while closely watching the changes in the ammeter until the desired current value is adjusted; then rotate the voltage regulator counterclockwise back to zero, press the stop button, and turn off the power.
When operating the high-current generator, you can follow the above methods. Before using the high-current generator, be sure to do a good job of grounding and master the operation methods proficiently. If any fault occurs, contact professional personnel in time for handling.
