AC/DC High Current Generator

I. Overview:

The SDF series high current generator is specially designed and manufactured for electrical equipment tests in power departments and industrial/mining enterprises, such as current load tests and temperature rise tests for various switches, current transformers, and other electrical equipment.

This series of products adopts a split/integrated structure depending on product volume and weight, featuring stepless output current adjustment, balanced current rise, wide load variation range, reliable operation, simple operation, and safety. It is an ideal equipment for current rise or temperature rise tests in industrial and mining enterprises.

II. Main Technical Parameters of High Current Generator

III. Operating Environment for High Current Generator:

1. Working power supply: 220V/380V ±10% 50HZ

2. Ambient temperature: —10℃—40℃

3. The product should be placed in a location free from gases, vapors, chemical dust deposits, dirt, or other explosive media that could seriously affect transformer insulation.

IV. Working Principle of High Current Generator:

After connecting the working power supply, this series of products adjusts the output voltage of the voltage regulator to obtain the required high current for testing. The working principle diagram is as follows:

V. Usage Methods and Precautions for High Current Generator:

1. Connect the working circuit according to the electrical schematic diagram. The transformer casing and operation console must be properly grounded.

 2. Connect the power supply, and the green indicator light on the operation console will illuminate. Press the start button, and the red indicator light will illuminate, at which point the current generator is ready to increase current.

 3. Rotate the voltage regulator evenly clockwise, and observe the output current indication on the operation console until the desired high current is reached. To ensure testing accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series at the instrument terminals.

 4. During the test, if any abnormal condition is found, immediately cut off the power supply, investigate the cause, and then proceed with the test.

 5. After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, press the stop button to cut off the power supply, and then disconnect the working power supply before removing the test wiring to ensure safety.

VI. Precautions:

1. This equipment is designed for short-term operation, so it is not allowed to operate at rated capacity for extended periods, especially not exceeding the rated current, to prevent overheating. The time limits are as follows:

2. For newly installed transformers or those unused for a long time, measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground using a 1500 megohm meter before operation. Only use when the resistance value is not less than 0.5 megohms.
