Principle of magnetic induction heating

Compare with power frequency transformer, they are both electromagnetic conversion devices, but they go to two different extremes. Without going into complex principles, through my comparison below, I believe everyone will understand.

A changing current can produce a changing magnetic field, and a changing magnetic field can generate current. This is the working principle of a transformer. At the same time, a changing magnetic field also has an eddy current effect, which is the principle of electromagnetic induction heating.

For a transformer, there is also eddy current, which generates heat and is harmful. To reduce the eddy current effect, as you can see from the picture, the transformer is composed of many silicon steel sheets, not a whole piece of silicon steel. The purpose is to reduce the cross-sectional area and artificially increase the electrical impedance.

For electromagnetic induction heating, eddy current is useful,
