High-Voltage Grounding Wire Usage and Maintenance
Before using the portable short-circuit grounding wire, first verify that the power is off and confirm no voltage on the equipment. Then connect the grounding wire clamp to the grounding grid or flat iron, and use the grounding operating rod to tighten the wire end clamps onto the equipment conductors. When removing the short-circuit grounding wire, the sequence is exactly the opposite.
For the installed short-circuit grounding wire, considering the influence of the grounding wire swing, the safety distance from live equipment should not be less than the value specified in the new "Safety Work Regulations for Electric Power."
It is strictly forbidden to use winding methods instead of clamps for grounding short-circuit.
If there is a grounding point at the suspension point, use a grounding wire clamp or a special copper rod for grounding connection; if no fixed grounding point is available, a temporary grounding point can be used, and the grounding electrode should be buried at a depth of not less than 0.6m.

Scope of Application:
1. This product has two categories: split-phase type and combined type. The wire clamps are divided into two types: spring-press type and screw type.
2. Among them, the flat clamps of the screw-press type are suitable for maintenance of copper and aluminum busbars and indoor switchgear during power outages.
3. The spring-press crocodile type (jaw clamps) is suitable for maintenance of 500kV lines during power outages.
4. The interface diameters of other wire clamps adapt to the grounding needs of conductors with different rated short-circuit currents, ensuring personal safety during maintenance.
Usage Method:
1. Split-phase type: Each set of "grounding wire" consists of three groups, each group is connected as a whole by the wire end clamp, short-circuit wire, and grounding end clamp.
Operate in groups during use. According to regulations, first verify no voltage, confirm power off, then first tighten the grounding end clamp on the grounding electrode,
Then select the operating rod according to the voltage level of the de-energized line, and hang the wire end clamp on the conductor. After work, first remove the wire end clamp, then remove the grounding end clamp.
2. Combined type: Due to different voltage levels, the combination form and quantity of wire clamps, and the length of wires vary. Generally, it consists of three wire end clamps, short-circuit wires,
a grounding wire, and one grounding end clamp to form one set of "grounding wire". During use, according to regulations, first verify no voltage, confirm power off, then tighten the grounding end clamp on the grounding electrode,
Then use the corresponding operating rod according to the voltage level to hang the wire end clamps on the conductors. (The operating rod has fixed and folding types)
When removing, first remove the wire end clamps, then remove the grounding end clamp.
3. After being subjected to short-circuit current, the grounding wire should be scrapped.
