
SM150T soil moisture meter can perform stable measurements in various soil temperature and salinity conditions. Due to its stability and portability, it can be carried to the field for measurements or connected to a data logger for long-term monitoring, widely used in soil science, horticulture, irrigation, and other fields.

Working Principle
The instrument emits electromagnetic waves at a certain frequency. The waves travel along the probe into the soil and return after reaching the bottom. The probe detects a stable voltage output. Since the change in soil dielectric constant typically depends on soil moisture content, the soil moisture content can be calculated from the relationship between output voltage and moisture.
Features
The instrument consists of the SM150T soil moisture sensor, HH150 data readout, and a portable case, making it an easy-to-use, low-cost soil moisture measurement tool. The SM150T is easy to insert and install; its sharp, thin straight probe minimizes soil disturbance and preserves the original soil structure around the probe. The sensor, connector, and cable all meet IP68 protection rating, allowing the sensor to withstand long-term underground burial.

Data Logging and Reading
The SM150T is a dual-purpose probe; it can be used for portable real-time measurements or installed in soil connected to a data logger to provide long-term moisture and temperature data. Any Delta-T device data logger and other manufacturers' loggers can record SM150T measurement data.
Note: The HH150 readout in the SM150 kit is a read-only device. If PC connection, storage, and data download are needed, the SM150T should be used with other data loggers.
