Every Fluke insulated hand tool is free from defects in material and workmanship. "Lifetime" here means seven years after Fluke discontinues manufacturing this product, but this warranty period shall be at least fifteen years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by neglect, abuse, contamination, modification, accident, or abnormal working or handling conditions, as well as damage to mechanical components or normal wear and tear. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Below are guidelines for maintenance, inspection, retesting, and use of Fluke insulated hand tools.

Warning - To prevent personal injury or electric shock, please note the following:

• Keep fingers behind the finger guard. Do not touch conductive parts.
• Always wear approved eye protection.
• Do not use in wet environments. Use tools only when clean and dry.
• Never force the insulation of the tool, as it may be damaged. For example, using the insulated surface as a fulcrum to pry or wedge items, or using other tools such as pliers or wrenches to grip the insulated handle to increase torque or leverage.

If the product is not used as specified, the protective function may be impaired.

Storage

Insulated hand tools should be stored properly to minimize the risk of damage to the insulation during storage or transport. These insulated hand tools should be stored separately from other tools to prevent mechanical damage or confusion with non-insulated tools. Additionally, they should be protected from contact with overheated surfaces (e.g., steam pipes) or excessive UV radiation.

Pre-use Inspection

Before use, the user should inspect each insulated hand tool visually. If there is any doubt about the safety of an insulated hand tool, it should be inspected by qualified personnel. If necessary, it must be retested to determine suitability, or disposed of to prevent future use.

Temperature

Insulated hand tools may only be used in environments with temperatures from –20 °C to +70 °C. Tools marked with "C" may only be used in environments with temperatures from –40 °C to +70 °C.

Periodic Inspection and Electrical Retesting

It is recommended that a visual inspection be performed annually by appropriately trained personnel to determine whether the insulated hand tool can continue to be used. If national regulations require electrical retesting, or if there is any doubt after visual inspection, the insulated hand tool should be subjected to the appropriate dielectric test in IEC 60900.
