
Test Purpose
Determine the adaptability of products for storage, transportation, and use under low pressure climatic conditions.
Place the test sample into the test chamber (room), then reduce the pressure inside the chamber (room) to the value specified in relevant standards, and maintain it for the specified duration. The severity of the test depends on temperature, pressure, and exposure duration.
Low pressure tests are applicable to products transported by air in aircraft cargo holds, products used on plateaus, and situations where pressure drops rapidly after an aircraft is damaged during air transport. In test applications, it is usually divided into transportation tests and operational environment tests. The transportation environment typically uses low temperature accompanied by reduced pressure as verification conditions, while the operational environment uses high/low temperature accompanied by reduced pressure as verification conditions.
