The JYT Insulating Oil Dielectric Strength Tester is a fully automated instrument developed in accordance with the requirements of international IEC-156 and national GB507-2002 "Determination of Dielectric Strength of Insulating Oils", incorporating feedback from a wide range of users.
This instrument is controlled by a microcontroller, adopting a method of setting parameters first and then starting the test. The entire process is automatically operated and controlled by the microcomputer, making it simple to operate and convenient to use.
Instrument Features
1. The instrument uses a large-capacity microcontroller for control, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
2. It features temperature, humidity, and clock display functions, and includes a grounding alarm to remind users of safety.
3. A wide-range watchdog circuit is built-in to eliminate system crashes.

5. The oil cup is made of special glass and cast in one piece, preventing oil leakage and other interference.
6. The unique high-voltage sampling design allows test values to be directly fed into the A/D converter, avoiding errors in analog circuits and making measurement results more accurate.
7. The instrument has built-in protections such as overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuit, and possesses strong anti-interference capability with good electromagnetic compatibility.

Usage Method:
(I) Preparation
1. Use a single-phase AC 220V power supply, and ensure the grounding terminal on the housing is connected to a standard ground wire.
2. Carefully inspect the oil cup for safety, paying attention to the axis alignment of the two electrodes. Adjust the electrode gap to 1.25mm for small flat plates, and 2.5mm for all others.
3. Turn on the power switch; the power indicator will light up, and the voltmeter will display 00.0, indicating normal operation. (A few digits of error in the display are normal and do not affect test accuracy.)
4. Before increasing voltage, the voltage must be decreased first, then the voltage increase test can be performed; otherwise, the operation will be refused.
(II) Test
1. Slowly pour the prepared oil sample into the oil cup, rinse twice, then fill the cup completely with the sample, place the cup on the electrode holder, close the cup cover, and press the interlock switch. (If the cover is not closed, the operation will be refused.)
2. Let it stand for 10—15 minutes to remove air bubbles.
3. Press the voltage increase switch to automatically raise the voltage. When the oil breaks down, the overcurrent protection relay and protection system will activate, cutting off the power to the voltage booster within 0.02 seconds, and the digital display will show the breakdown voltage value.
4. Press the voltage decrease switch to automatically return the voltage regulator to zero. After five minutes, a second test can be conducted.
5. During the test, if the external voltage is insufficient, the digital display may not reach 60kV, but the regulator dial may already touch the limit switch.
6. If abnormal conditions occur during the test, press the stop switch to forcibly cut off the high-voltage power supply. (To test again, reset the stop switch.)
Precautions:
1. The instrument must be used in an environment with a standard ground wire.
2. Keep the oil cup filled with clean, dry oil at all times to protect it.
3. Regularly clean the electrode surfaces with a soft leather or silk cloth to keep them smooth and shiny.
4. With proper use and maintenance, users generally will not encounter faults that require repair. Do not open the casing arbitrarily. If the instrument malfunctions, please contact our company promptly.
