Used for measuring various power cables, high-frequency coaxial cables, local telephone cables with different cross-sections and media, as well as buried wires laid evenly with two or more conductors, to detect high and low resistance, short circuit, open circuit, broken wire, high resistance leakage, and high resistance flashover faults. It can also be used to measure cable length and the propagation speed of electromagnetic waves in cables. Main features of the cable fault tester:
1. Comprehensive functions, safe, rapid, and accurate fault testing. The instrument uses low-voltage pulse method and high-voltage flashover method for detection, capable of testing various faults in cables. It can directly test flashover and high-resistance faults in power cables without burning through. If equipped with an acoustic point locator, it can accurately determine the fault location.
2. High testing accuracy. The instrument adopts high-speed data sampling technology with a reading resolution of 1m. High intelligence. Test results are automatically displayed on a large LCD screen in small text and data, making fault judgment intuitive. It also features menu-driven operation, requiring no special training for operators.
3. Waveform and parameter storage and recall functions. Using non-volatile devices, waveforms and data are not lost after power off.
4. Dual-trace display function. The test waveform of the faulty cable can be compared with the normal waveform, facilitating further fault diagnosis.
5. Waveform expansion ratio function. By changing the waveform ratio, the waveform can be expanded for accurate testing.
6. Controlled measurement cursor, can automatically search along the line and stop automatically at the inflection point of the fault waveform.
7. The position of the dual cursors can be arbitrarily changed, directly displaying the direct or relative distance between the fault point and the test point.
8. Printing function. Print and archive the test results.
