The power frequency high-voltage test transformer is one of the series of high-voltage test transformers. Its use is becoming more and more widespread, but many customers are still not very clear about it. Let's have a deeper understanding together.
The iron core of this series of products is single-phase core type, made of high-quality cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets, and fastened with steel as clamping pieces. The high-voltage coil is cylindrical multi-layer tower type, wound with high-quality polyester enameled wire and high withstand voltage insulation materials. The low-voltage coil is on the outside, and the instrument coil is an independent winding, generally 100V. The shell is octagonal, and test transformers above 10KVA are equipped with movable iron wheels. It has the characteristics of light weight, small size, easy movement, and excellent performance.
In addition to AC power frequency withstand voltage tests, if equipped with capacitors, silicon stacks, and high-voltage DC microammeters of the same voltage level and capacity, the power frequency high-voltage test transformer can be assembled into a DC high-voltage test device to measure high-voltage DC leakage current.
Precautions for power frequency high-voltage test transformer:
1. When conducting high-voltage tests, at least 2 or more personnel must participate, with clear division of labor and clear methods between each other. There must be a dedicated person to supervise the safety of the site and observe the test status of the test object;
2. The transformer and control box should have reliable grounding;
3. During the test, the voltage increase speed should not be too fast, and sudden full voltage power-on or power-off is absolutely not allowed;
4. During the voltage increase or withstand voltage test, if any of the following abnormal conditions are found, the voltage should be immediately reduced, the power should be cut off, the test should be stopped, and the test should be carried out after finding out the cause. ① The pointer of the voltmeter swings greatly; ② The smell of burning insulation or smoke is found; ③ There are abnormal sounds inside the test object.
5. During the test, if the test object is short-circuited or breaks down, the overcurrent relay in the control box will operate. At this time, return the voltage regulator to zero and cut off the power before taking out the test object.
6. When conducting capacitance tests or DC high-voltage leakage tests, after the test is completed, lower the voltage regulator to zero, cut off the power, and then use a discharge rod to discharge the high-voltage end of the test object or capacitor to the ground to avoid the risk of electric shock from the potential stored in the capacitor.
